When your tape library, autoloader, or tape drive fails, you need a fast and reliable solution. At MagStor, a division of MAGNEXT LTD (est. 2006), we specialize in repairing a wide range of tape storage equipment. Most repairs at our depot are completed within two business days from receipt of your tape drive. Need it faster? We offer expedited repairs, advanced exchanges, and trade-ins toward a new system. Our facility is ESD-safe, temperature and humidity controlled to ensure the highest quality of work. We service all major brands: MagStor, IBM, Quantum, HP/HPE, Overland Tandberg, Dell, Oracle, Spectra Logic and more.
Our Repair Process
For a flat diagnostic fee of $149, send your tape drive to our Columbus, Ohio depot. We will:
- Disassemble & Clean: Thorough cleaning of the read/write head and internal components to eliminate debris that can cause errors.
- Manufacturer-Level Diagnostics: We run the same suite used by manufacturers (not publicly available) to pinpoint faults.
- Detailed Quote: After diagnostics, you’ll receive a clear explanation and a no-obligation repair quote.
The $149 diagnostic fee is applied to the final repair cost.
Additional Repair Services
- Firmware Updates: Included with any repair.
- Quality Control: Extensive post-repair testing to meet or exceed original specs.
- Repair Warranty: 6-month warranty on repairs requiring parts; 12-month option available.
- Expedited Service: Rush options available (additional charge may apply).
- Maintenance Contracts: NBD maintenance contracts can be quoted post-repair for drives or libraries.
