  • 1GbE and Wi‑Fi are not supported

How ePro Works

The MagStor ePro presents the tape drive over 10GbE iSCSI networking. A workstation or server claims the tape device directly, making it appear as a locally attached tape drive to that system.

Universal Software Compatibility: Built on Industry Standards

MagStor ePro systems use standardized LTO and iSCSI/SCSI communication, making them compatible with many software packages that support standalone IBM LTO tape drives.

Windows includes Microsoft iSCSI Initiator built into the operating system. Linux includes native iSCSI initiator support through standard OS tools. macOS requires a separate iSCSI initiator from ATTO Technologies; it is available from MagStor at a discount.

Compatible Add-On Internal Drives

MagStor ePro desktop enclosures support additional internal SAS LTO tape drives. Only SAS internal drives are used in this desktop enclosure.

Want to upgrade this unit to dual drives or create a mixed-generation configuration? Simply purchase an additional compatible internal SAS drive and install it yourself, or have it installed by an authorized service center. Labor is free at authorized service centers in the USA.
