The SAS-HL9i is an internal LTO-9 component, not a self-contained desktop appliance. It requires a suitable enclosure or server installation with the correct SAS/power connections and an engineered cooling path. Physical bay fit alone is not evidence that an installation is safe or supported.

Thermal installation requirements
Do not operate the bare drive on an open desk or in an ordinary unvalidated PC bay. Cooling must remain effective whenever the drive is powered, including while idle. Do not infer safe operation from an open case or nominal bay size.
Source storage and software
Plan sustained source storage and compatible tape software. A 1GbE source can bottleneck a tape workflow. Confirm the operating system, HBA, driver, application and media format as one configuration.
