The M-DRV-L7FC-BASE is an enterprise-recertified LTO-7 full-height Fibre Channel BASE add-on drive for compatible MagStor M-Series tape libraries. It is a library drive module, not a standalone desktop tape drive.
The current listing identifies MagStor M2000 G2, M4000, M3000E and M6000E compatibility. Confirm the exact library model, firmware and supported drive combination when ordering a replacement or adding a module.
Enterprise Grade Recertified
Proven hardware, restored and qualified.
The BASE mechanism is inspected, serviced, tested and qualified by MagStor storage engineers. It is not sold as an as-is used drive.

Host connection & software
Use a compatible Fibre Channel host adapter or fabric, the correct data cable and supported drivers. Windows, macOS and Linux support depends on the host adapter, driver and application configuration.
Choose backup, archive or LTFS software that supports IBM LTO-7 drives and standard tape-library automation. Examples to evaluate include Veeam, NetBackup, Commvault, Arcserve, Retrospect, Archiware P5, YoYotta and XenData; required software editions and library support vary.
Library-aware software required. Software designed only for standalone tape drives may not support library automation. No standalone desktop LTFS software license is included with this library or drive-module SKU.
