MagStor Announces Updated Warranty Terms for Overland Tandberg Compatible Drives
July 1st, 2026 — MagStor has announced an update to the warranty terms for its Overland Tandberg compatible replacement and add-on tape drives. Due to rising product, support, and supply-chain costs, all eligible Overland Tandberg compatible drives purchased on or after July 1st, 2026 will now include a 1-year standard warranty.
Customers who purchased eligible drives prior to July 1st, 2026 will continue to receive the original 3-year warranty that was included at the time of purchase. This change does not affect warranty coverage for past purchases.
MagStor continues to support organizations operating Overland Storage and Tandberg Data NEOs and NEOxl tape library systems. As Overland Tandberg LTO hardware becomes more difficult to source and support, MagStor remains focused on helping customers maintain, repair, and expand their existing tape infrastructure with compatible drive options.

The updated warranty terms apply only to applicable Overland Tandberg compatible drives purchased on or after July 1st, 2026. Customers who require longer coverage may have the option to purchase an extended warranty upgrade where available.
